  Please reconsider trusting Dr. Cornell Peters as your Family Doctor. I have been going to Dr. Cornell Peters since 2007. Last month (June 2017) she tried to charge me $100 for calling my insurance company to approve the medication she prescribed to me. I told her that was a lot for a 10 minute phone call, which would only be required once every 12 months as long as she kept me on that medication. She rudely replied "find another doctor!" and hung up in my face. Afterward, I tried to pick up my medication at the pharmacy and they told me it had been approved, but then Dr. Peters cancelled the prior-approval with my insurance company and they would no longer be able to cover my medication. I called back to speak with Dr. Peters and after being on hold for 20 minutes at a time and told they would call me back for 2 days, the lady at the front desk said Dr. Peters cancelled the prior-approval because she's not my doctor anymore. I explained that I never said that, I only questioned the charge and Dr. Peters said to find another doctor. She then said there is nothing more she can do. I had to pay out of pocket almost $200 for the medication, when I would have only had to pay $40 with my insurance coverage. After 10 years of being a loyal patient, I would've never expected to be treated this way by Dr. Cornell Peters or any doctor for that matter. It's hard to believe a doctor could behave this way. I hope this helps other people to reconsider trusting Dr. Peters to be their Family Doctor.
